Burton is a leading men's clothing and fashion retailer in the UK & part of Arcadia Group Ltd, which also include Topman, Topshop and British Home Stores (BHS) among others.
In Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping Centre which I frequented, Burton is found inside the BHS store. There used to be a separate Burton outlet in Queensgate adjacent to Topshop but it is now closed. The location is now occupied by Superdry.
Established back in 1903 by Montague Burton, Burton supplied the British army with uniforms during the 1st and 2nd World War. Montague provided war veterans with their first suit, shirt & tie post war, named "The Full Monty".
Later in 1966, Burton suited the England Team during the World Cup (which they victoriously went on to win) & again suited the team in the 2002 World Cup.
Burton.co.uk was launched in 1999 offering a different purchasing route for the Internet savvy and has grown from strength to strength.

Disclaimer: I am an affiliate of Burton. But I am also a satisfied customer who buys their clothes in our local BHS store.
